Delivery & Returns

This Policy forms part of the Getit Terms and Conditions, and so words defined in the Terms and Conditions have the same meaning in this Policy, unless the context indicates otherwise. Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit your statutory rights in any way.

 

Our obligation to deliver a product to you is fulfilled when we deliver the product to the physical address nominated by you for delivery of the order. We are not responsible for any loss or unauthorised use of a product, after it has delivered the product to the physical address nominated by you.

 

To ensure your request is processed as quickly as possible you are responsible for all the following when returning your products:

  • Package your products safely and securely for protection during transit;
  • Clearly mark your order number on the outside of the parcel; and
  • Include all accessories and parts that were sold with the product.

 

Failure to adhere to any of these requirements could delay the processing of your request or result in its decline altogether.

 

Once we have inspected the product and validated your return, we will credit your Account with the purchase price of the product, after deducting any charges, as Credit within 14 days of the return. You may have this amount returned to your bank account by clicking 'Transfer Amount to Bank Account' in your Account and following the steps. You are solely responsible and liable for the information you enter in the 'Transfer Amount to Bank Account' request. We shall not be liable for any consequences of incorrect or inaccurate information we have received and processed from your 'Transfer Amount to Bank Account' request and the bank transfer we initiate based on this request. You agree not to use the 'Transfer Amount to Bank Account' feature for any illegal, criminal or illicit intent. You also agree to indemnify Getit and its affiliates against any liability, indirect, direct or consequential, resulting from your use of the 'Transfer Amount to Bank Account' feature.

 

Where you have used loyalty points towards the purchase of a product being returned, we will credit the loyalty points equal to the purchase price of the product back to your Account once we have inspected and validated your return. Should the purchase price of the product be greater than the loyalty points used, the remaining balance will be credited to your Account as Credit. Should the purchase price of the product be less than the loyalty points used, only the loyalty points equal to the purchase price of the product will be credited back to your Account. Loyalty points will not be refundable to your payment method or bank account.

 

Unwanted products

You can return an unwanted product to us, provided all of the following:

  • It is undamaged and unused, with the original labels and stickers still attached;
  • It is in the original packaging, which must be undamaged and in its original condition with all seals still intact (if applicable).
  • It is not missing any accessories or parts;
  • You Request an RMA on our Website & Apps within 7 days of delivery to you;
  • You agree to that we will deduct return delivery and handling charges from the amount to be refunded, and if your return is deemed invalidated after we receive and inspect the product, you will pay delivery and handling charges to have the product delivered back to your address within 2 days of being notified by us;
  • You arranged and paid for the delivery of the product to the address we give you in the Return Request.

 

Damaged or defective products

Should a product be damaged, defective or missing any parts or accessories at the time of delivery, please notify us within 7 days of such delivery by Requesting an RMA on our Website & Apps.

 

A defect is a material imperfection in the manufacture of a product, as determined by the supplier or manufacturer of the product.

 

We will arrange to collect the product from you at no charge. Once we have inspected the product and validated your return, we will either repair/replace the product as soon as possible (if such repair is possible/when we have the same product in stock to use as a replacement) or credit your Account with the purchase price of the product as Credit. You may request a refund of the credited amount to your bank account by clicking 'Transfer Amount to Bank Account' in your Account.

 

Products restricted from returns

You may not return the following unwanted products:

  • Foodstuff, beverage or other product intended for everyday consumption;
  • A nursing or maternity product, an infant bottle, infant feeding product or bottle accessory that has been unsealed, including (but not limited to) breast pumps, bottles, teats, soothers/pacifiers, formula, maternity underwear, nappies and wipes;
  • A beauty product or fragrance which has been used;
  • An intimate product, lingerie, swimwear, bodysuit, underwear or jewellery for piercings, which for hygienic and public health reasons may not be returned;
  • A flatpack furniture product that has been assembled after delivery.

 

Charges and refunds

If you return a defective product to us, but you fail to return all of the accessories and parts that were sold with that product, we are entitled to (subject to applicable law)  refuse the return,  or only to replace the item that you did return; or to estimate the value of the missing accessories and parts and to credit or refund you in respect of the returned item only.

 

If you return a product that does not comply with this Policy, you may be liable to reimburse us for the cost of collecting the product from you and the cost of having the product returned to you.

 

Under no circumstances will loyalty points, reward points and coupons you may receive from us be refunded.

 

Deliveries

You acknowledge that the number of days within which a product will be delivered stated on our Website & Apps is only an estimate, and that the actual number of days may vary from this estimate. Where your order and payment is successful, we will deliver the Goods to you as soon as reasonably possible, but no later than 30 (thirty) days of receipt of your payment (“Delivery Period”). We will notify you if we are unable to deliver the products during the Delivery Period. You may then, within 7 (seven) days of receiving such notification elect whether or not to cancel your order for the Goods. If you elect to cancel your order, we will reimburse you for the purchase price.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of information you enter on the checkout pages of the Website & Apps. Should any information you have entered be inaccurate or incorrect, you shall be liable to reimburse us for all costs of collecting, storing, handling and delivering the product to your correct physical address.

 

We may use third parties to deliver the products to you. We shall not be responsible or liable for any harm or loss that may be caused to you by any third party that we use.
